After reading the article - I'm still not sure that it was refering to the same place that we saw the sign leading to i.e. just the location given. Additionally, what we saw didn't give any indication that "restoration" techniques had been attempted anywhere. One of the many mysteries in an area where people who looked like they were keeping records, didn't record something that we now want to know.

In Ride 9 - Logandale Trails it is stated "We retraced and took a less used trail back across the desert and came upon what looked like markers for an old archaeological dig. The GPS map was labeled "Silver City." It would be interesting to know what the town was like."

I don't think Silver City was an actual town - go to this linked newspaper page from 1918 and read the article titled "Valley Men Reclaim an Old Silver City". ... HOW2=51639

Thanks for the info, what a beautiful place to ride I took plenty of pictures they can be seen here they are not really sorted I just uploaded them when I get time I will go back and edit them and add text.

Here is the GPS data from my Garmin cant get my email to work with this virgin broadband2go card for some reason.

Pretty sure we hit all the trails you have plus some more.

Looking at your file it takes you through town I assume that was made using something street legal and we cant ride ATV's through town to get to the trails on the other side?

The locals I have met seem pretty nice, met a Jeep group on the trail that was lost, well not really lost they were on the right trail its just the trail was a dead end due to rocks falling and blocking it they were seeking a way around.

Still trying to figure out this GPS I figured out how to use google earth to draw trails on the map then convert the file and upload it to my GPS so I can go try and find the trails, problem I have is I cant see the trails I added to the GPS on the map they are named "Try"

Thanks again.

ORH NOTE: Using the search box on the blog main page to search for "Logandale" will produce 4 index pages of posts which mention trails in the Logandale Trail system: their trailheads, sites to see and names.

lonandale Trails. Its just about 15 miles from Stop Two 3-Corners (West)

Directions From: Las Vegas, NV
1) Take I-15 North from Las Vegas approx 45 miles
2) Take Exit 93 (Overton/Logandale exit) to 169
3) Turn right (west) on Liston Ave (look for Chinese restaurant on right)
4) Turn right at the stop sign
5) Stay to the right until dirt road forces you across the tracks (to Pioneer Road)
6) Stay on this road as it winds up the canyon (2WD ok)
7) First staging area is about 1.5 miles in (trailhead) and has bathrooms, additional staging and camping ahead. ... rails.html

Just got here late today took a quick ride attached is the GPX file doing more riding tomorrow will have more data.

Whoops it wont let me send the file I get this error
The extension gpx is not allowed. ED Note: .gpx has been added as a valid file type so this problem should be fixed.
Remember, if you are submitting a trail for consideration to be added to the master maps - you can either attach it here OR use the email links on either the web or blog - the latter may get noticed quicker.
